All information sent through EncryptedSend is encrypted from end-to-end. Encryption takes place in the sender's web browser, and decryption takes place in the recipient's web browser, using client-side javascript running in both users' web browsers. Only encrypted information is sent through EncryptedSend's servers. Unencrypted information and the keys used to encrypt and decrypt this information never leave the sender's web browser or the recipient's web browser. This can be independently verified by using your browser to review the source code. For more information, please see our whitepaper.

EncryptedSend is operated by Meixler Technologies, Inc. From 1998 to 2017, MTI operated the GreenFax.com internet-fax service. GreenFax was one of the first services of its kind, offering fax-to-email, email-to-fax and web-fax services to thousands of clients ranging from individual users to Fortune-500 companies. In 2017, GreenFax was successfully acquired by j2 Global Communications [NASDAQ:JCOM], parent company of eFax.com.
Over the years, we noticed that it seemed harder than it should be for individuals to exchange documents, files, and messages securely. Standard email is of course, unencrypted and therefore not secure. Public-key encryption tools like PGP and GPG can be used with email to send files securely, however, it requires a degree of technical know-how to use these tools. Companies like Dropbox and Citrix offer 'secure' cloud-based file transfer services, however, these services do not provide true end-to-end encryption. Apps like Signal and WhatsApp offer true end-to-end encryption, however both the sender and the recipient must have these apps installed on their devices in order to communicate securely. We felt that there must be a simpler way for users to exchange documents, files, and messages securely, with true end-to-end encryption, using just their web browser, without the need to install any software or programs. So, we set out to build a solution to meet this need. EncryptedSend is the result of our efforts.
EncryptedSend uses client-side javascript running in users' web browsers for all cryptography, so that information sent through EncryptedSend is encrypted from end-to-end. Encryption takes place in the sender's web browser, and decryption takes place in the recipient's web browser, so that only encrypted information is sent through EncryptedSend's servers. Unencrypted information and the keys used to encrypt and decrypt this information never leave the sender's web browser or the recipient's web browser. For more information on how the system works, please see our whitepaper. We welcome your feedback!
